Ahava Circle Inc.’s mission is to save lives through adaptive aquatic instruction that promotes water safety and prevents drowning among vulnerable children, adults, and seniors in Palm Beach County.
Ahava Circle Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing one of the most urgent and preventable public safety crises: drowning among individuals who have been historically excluded from traditional aquatic programs.
Children with autism and other neurodivergent conditions face an exceptionally high risk of drowning, while adults with disabilities and seniors often lack access to safe, adaptive instruction. Traditional swim programs frequently fail to meet their sensory, cognitive, and physical needs.
Ahava Circle exists to close that gap.
Through evidence-based instruction, highly trained adaptive instructors, and compassionate, individualized programming, we create safe aquatic environments where every participant can learn, thrive, and build lifelong confidence in and around water.

Adaptive Aquatic Instruction Program
Our flagship program delivers inclusive, life-saving aquatic education designed specifically for vulnerable populations.

Individualized Instruction
Each participant receives lessons tailored to their unique sensory, cognitive, and physical needs. Small group and one-on-one formats allow instructors to adjust pace, communication, and activities for maximum safety and progress.

Highly Trained Instructors
All instructors are certified in adaptive aquatics, CPR, AED, and First Aid, with additional training in autism support, behavioral communication, and senior mobility.

Sensory-Friendly & Accessible Environments
We intentionally design calm, supportive aquatic spaces and use adaptive equipment to ensure accessibility and comfort for all participants.

Whole-Family Engagement
Parents and caregivers are active partners in the learning process. We provide water safety education, at-home reinforcement strategies, and ongoing support.

Safety-First, Skills-Forward Curriculum
Participants learn survival swimming skills first—floating, safe water exits, and self-rescue—before progressing to recreational swimming. Senior programs also emphasize balance, mobility, and low-impact therapeutic movement.

Inclusive Community Building
Group activities and family swim days foster belonging, reduce isolation, and strengthen community connections.

We believe drowning is preventable, exclusion is unacceptable, and access to water safety is a right—not a privilege.
Our work is grounded in dignity, compassion, and evidence-based practice. We meet individuals where they are, honor their unique needs, and build confidence through patience, trust, and skilled instruction.
Every lesson is about more than swimming—it is about safety, independence, and belonging.
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children with autism and a growing risk for individuals with disabilities and seniors.
Research shows:
Children with autism are up to 160 times more likely to drown than their peers
Individuals with developmental or physical disabilities are significantly overrepresented in drowning statistics
Low-income and underserved communities face the highest risk and the fewest resources
Ahava Circle directly addresses this crisis through weekly neighborhood-based programming, family education, CPR training, and inclusive instruction that saves lives.
